Drink Count has been primarily developed by Bryce Sandlund, with support from Jacob Sandlund and Flynn Howling.


Bryce started trying to cut back on alcohol around 2020. To do that requires knowing where you're at, setting a goal for improvement, and measuring progress. At first, for him this meant recording a rough estimate of drinks, typically the day after, in a simple note, occasionally adding it all up to see totals.


There are other apps on the market that make this process easier. Unfortunately, most are challenging to use in the moment, on nights when you're working up to your fifth drink and have little interest in navigating a UI. These are also precisely the occasions when moderation is merited.


Drink Count is an answer to this problem. With a Live Activity on the iPhone lock screen or a complication on the Apple Watch interface, you can easily track your drinks as you are drinking them. So you can enjoy your drinks while keeping in mind your broader health goals.
